Ok, it’s a trick question. There is only one correct answer. You’re watching the TCRG bout at Minoru Arena, right? The Bad Reputations are playing Public Frenemy, and the TCRG All-Stars are playing Texas! YEEEEHAAAA! TEXAS!

Texas is where the modern resurgence of roller derby started. They invented this little thing we do. This is history, people, right here. Mind you, the TCRG All-Stars are working on a little history of their own. They’ve moved from 23rd in the WFDTA western rankings in Q4 2011 to 12th in Q2 2012. Hot damn, All-Stars. Nicely done.

This is going to be a fantastic bout, so join us at Minoru! Tickets are available from the TCRG website ($15), or at the door ($20). Doors open at 5 PM, first whistle at 6.

Reminder: New time and venue for Raw Meat starts now!

In case it’s not clear, there is NO Raw Meat on August 11. Join us at the bout, instead.

Starting August 18, join us at our new time and venue. All fall and winter, we will skate at Thunderbird Community Centre, 2311 Cassiar St., Vancouver, from 5 to 7 PM every Saturday, EXCEPT for August 11, August 25, and September 8 (TCRG bout days).

Sessions at Thunderbird are just $7, and they are drop-in as always. Just bring your skates, all of your safety gear (and white toe-stoppers!), and leave your ass-hat at home.
